Welcome!
My name is Daniele (he/him), originally from Italy, but currently based in Morocco. I am Mediterranean, with a sprinkle of good old fog and German humor. Half Sicilian, born and raised in Northern Italy.
I currently work as an enterprise consultant on IT business analysis and program management. I have a BA in Sociology from University of Rome - La Sapienza, and a MS in Management and Service Design from University of Milan - Bicocca. I am passionate about social and technological change for the good, but I am far from a technological solutionist.
Among the many cool things I could experience there are a Youth Ambassador Fellowship with Internet Society, exploring unresolved internet governance issues around the planet, being part of many hackerspaces, contributing to the FOSS community and the Fediverse, but also hiking, surfing and skiing.
I’m fascinated by complexity and I’ve many different, conflicting interests. Through my posts you can get a feeling of how they evolve, but sometimes it’s impossible to catch all of them (I’m one of those with too many tabs open on my phone, and of course takes time to convert them all in reasoned thoughts!)
With this blog, I want to explore and share controversial ideas at (@) the intersection between people and technology. A place for everything about ideas, technology, systems, platforms, and all the infrastructure that increasingly decides how people can or cannot organize themselves. My goal is to gather personal essays, thoughts and original tutorials in one single place for the world to see, but also for the future me.
After a few years on Wordpress, I chose to refurbish everything as a static website using Forgejo Actions on Codeberg, but the blog’s name remained the same.
